What drives billboard & OOH pricing

Out-of-home isn’t a fixed price list — the same board can vary widely by market, traffic, illumination and how long you run. Here are typical U.S. ballpark ranges per unit, per 4-week cycle:

How much does a billboard cost per month?

A standard static bulletin typically runs about $1,500–$14,000 for a 4-week cycle in the U.S., depending on the market and traffic. Top markets like New York and Los Angeles sit at the high end; smaller markets are far cheaper. Digital bulletins, wallscapes and spectaculars cost more; posters and transit are lower. Why is the estimate a range, not one price?

OOH is bought face by face. Two boards in the same city can differ 5–10× based on the exact location, traffic counts, illumination, size and availability. This tool gives you a realistic range so you can plan a budget — DASH TWO then checks live availability and returns exact pricing.

What’s a “4-week cycle”?

OOH is sold in 4-week flights rather than calendar months. A one-month campaign is one cycle; a quarter is roughly three. Longer commitments often earn better rates.

Does this include production and installation?

No — these are media (space) estimates. Vinyl/print production, install and creative are additional and vary by format. DASH TWO can bundle production into your quote.
